Connectivity and Corporate Social Responsibility, this is how we described what happened in the two most important LGUs in the province of Pangasinan. Despite the many challenges that beset the country today, GLOBE continues to spread the circle of happiness and bridging communities. With the help of these two LGUs we were able to build twenty one new sites that is now delivering good signal to its residents.
SAN CARLOS CITY , Pangasinan , February 11, 2021
It was a hot Wednesday morning but the air is full of excitement when the group of FSO, headed by our National Field Sales Head – Ms. Cleo Santos, Cluster Sales Head – Alex Amado and the team of PGI1 trouped to the city of San Carlos to do a courtesy call with the Mayor . The main agenda of the visit was to thank the LGU for the speedy approval of permit of the twenty (20) new operational Globe sites in the city. The city , being the most populated city in Region 1 deserves to be connected all the time .The twenty sites will impact a big change to the lives of the 204,000 plus residents with regards to technology and connectivity.

When we arrived, we proceeded immediately to the Mayor’s office where we were greeted by no less than the anointed “historian” and secretary of the mayor, Jhuliano Resuello. After a few exchanges of greetings and fifteen minutes of “lecture “ of the history of the city , Vice Mayor, Joseres “Bogs” Rusuello delivered a short welcome address to open the program.

City Administrator Voltaire Cabuay, suggested to bring the new technology to higher level that can be beneficial for both GLOBE and the people of San Carlos.
Because of the very engaging discussion we almost forgot the best part of the visit ,which is the presentation and turn over of “tokens” to our LGU partners. MANAOAG , PANGASINAN – February 12, 2021
While everyone was celebrating CHINESE NEW YEAR , the same group who visited San Carlos continue spreading good deeds and LOVE. Next stop , Manaoag Pangasinan now the group is joined by RQC3 (TP) team.
Prior to the COVID, Manaoag hosts thousands of pilgrims who visited the iconic Manaoag church to pray to the miraculous Lady Of Manaoag. Same with the pilgrims , our first stop was a visit to the church to pay homage. After our visit, we proceeded to the venue where we met the Mayor , staff of MSWD ( Municipal Social Welfare Department) together with some selected members of the community.

Cluster Head- Alex Amado delivering his speech
The mayor delivered his speech and lectured about the need of technology and connectivity in this trying times. He also explained that cell site tower is not hazardous compared to using a cell phone and watching tv, which at times the cause of delay of build due to this wrong notion of the community . The GLOBE group was happy to hear that the mayor is very supportive of our build programs…sana all.

It was a two day of connecting to our partners , the less fortunate and most affected group of our community. Though we only touched a small group we believe that BIG THINGS start in small beginnings. The twenty one new sites will open new opportunities and most importantly build lasting relationships in the countryside. The NLWEST FSO team commits to be obsessed with our customers and will continue the circle of happiness by providing connectivity and doing a GLOBE OF GOOD.
