Because of CoVid-19 pandemic, our country’s education system shifted to distance learning. Face-to-face classes has been replaced with online sessions. One of the challenges faced by some students and their parents was internet connectivity. This became the reason why the Sangguniang Kabataan of Sta. Cruz, Angat, Bulacan launched an initiative to give free prepaid wifi to deserving students.

In partnership with Globe Telecom and Sangguniang Kabataan of Sta. Cruz led by SK Chairman Guian Angelo Hermogenes, 30 students have received Globe at Home Prepaid Wifi and monthly load allowance. The kits will be helpful to these students for their online classes and research. It will also lessen the burden on their part, especially for their parents.

“This pandemic changes our country. The abrupt shift to online learning created challenges to our students. Education is one of my priority. I created this initiative to help students who cannot afford to have internet connection for their online classes. Being a youth leader, I want to help them build their future. I am thankful to have Globe Telecom as a partner in this initiative.” said SK Chairman Hermogenes.
