Creating a Globe of Good is not just a mantra, it’s a serious commitment to create a better place for our families and for the future generation. As part of our pledge to sustainable Globe, Information Security Group's (ISG) Partner and Asset Management Team and Infra Planning Services Division, together with Fixed Assets, and LAS-ORB Safety got their hands dirty and collected - get this: two truckloads of e-waste! All from their clean-up and disposal operations at the Globe Telecom Plaza in Pioneer, Mandaluyong.

Yours truly with Rey Realin, both from ISG-Partner & Asset Management with Janette Guillen (ISG-Data Center Operations) and Linette Vendivil (ISG-Enterprise Network Services), were able to clear out two areas in the data center and stockrooms, disposing 104 servers, 288 network devices and 39 computer parts.

Now that’s a lot of e-waste!

All e-waste materials collected were sent to HMR Envirocycle, a duly-accredited treatment facility by DENR authorized to process inorganic and electrical wastes.

Proceeds generated from the disposal activity will be part of our Project 1 Phone initiative and will be used to build more ICT classrooms across the country. This is part of our advocacy to bring 21st-century learning to public schools nationwide!
