It was a gloomy morning, but the spirit of camaraderie and volunteerism is very high at Guinabang Elementary School. This is the second year of Team Elyu’s Brigada Eskwela participation. This time, it was not only the usual cleaning and painting of classrooms, we also included Libreng Gupit (Free Hair cut) to indigent students of the community. Our Territory Distributor (TD) personnel personally donated used books and school items and also collected from others as well.

As early as 7am, students started signing up for the activity. A total of 53 students received a free hair cut! With the participation of PGI2 team (Globe Distributor) Network Technical Group (NTG) and the Parents, Teachers Association of the school, we were able to repaint two classrooms, checked electrical wirings and repaired chairs and defective electric fans. A sumptuous lunch (boodle fight) was prepared by the parents with vegetables freshly picked from the school garden!

Towards noon time, the temperature started getting so hot that everyone was bathing in sweat and getting tired, but the genuine smile that Team Elyu received from the students, parents, and school officials made all our efforts worth our while.

Indeed, it was a fulfilling activity - we DID A GLOBE of GOOD!
