Our people make the difference! This is one of our Globe core values that the Southmin Warriors have exemplified one Monday, March 23.

Gensan and Koronadal Warriors joined hands with Bridging Communities to help one of our favored schools, Bayawa Elementary School at President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat. Exactly 19 of our Ka-Globe took part in donating 35 armchairs for the school's newly constructed classroom.

To see the faces of the children smiling at the sight of their new comfy chairs gives me the feeling of fulfillment. It's like sharing a piece of me to them, even though it’s a simple thing, it makes my heart melt in the simplest way.

At the height of their activities, the Southmin Warriors also shared their talents, played games, and provided snacks for the children.

“Kahit mainit at malayo ang biyahe, masaya naman ang experience!” says Maria Socorro Pengson, another member of the team, after the activity.

Our Ka-Globe travelled for almost three hours just to reach the school. Despite the long travel, the event was very successful.  

“Hindi namin in-expect na matutuloy ang program na ito, sa dinami-dami ng hiningan namin dito, Globe lang talaga ang nagbigay ng ganitong tulong sa amin. Akala namin imposible na matulungan kami pero kay Globe pala talaga posible," the school's principla, Mr. Abraham says, thanking the volunteer work.

The program was concluded with a message from the school’s principal and the district’s head chairperson echoing nothing but their big, heartfelt,  “Thank you”.
